Shipping Policy

Our goal is to process your order and ship within 5 business days after receiving your order confirmation email. HOWEVER, due to some supply base issues and shipping issues in today's crazy world, we can no longer guarantee that timeframe. We order large quantities of components ahead of time for inventory in our efforts to maintain the 5 day goal, but that is not always enough. We ask for your patience when orders have to be shipped late.
 
After your initial order confirmation email, you will receive a second notification when your order has shipped, along with the tracking number.  This is when the shipping label has been printed, not when the carrier has received the shipment.  Give at least 48 hours before checking your shipment.
 
Shipping Rates and Lost or Stolen Shipments
 

We have provided a host of shipping options, with a small handling charge.  This allows you to select the best carrier for your situation.  The available carriers and shipment methods are listed in the checkout, along with the costs.  You are the best judge of how to trade off the cost vs. time, especially for international orders.

In most cases, USPS First Class International is the least expensive for international orders, but probably the slowest. Note that a lost international shipment cannot be processed until 40 DAYS AFTER SHIP DATE, and 10 days after ship date for domestic shipments. Once that date occurs, the claims process is fairly quick, and requires you to fill out an affidavit online. We depend on YOU to let us know you did not receive your order, and also to remind us to start the claims process 10 or 40 days after shipment.  Note that there are some cases where a shipping option is offered, but actually not available, doe to lockdowns, etc.  We will either choose a similar option at a similar price, or contact you for instructions. 

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.  Make sure the email address you provide is accurate, or you will not receive the notification.

If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at support@preppcomm.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Note that we can only start an investigation for a lost shipment after 10 days for domestic shipments, but not for 40 days for an international shipment.  But we need to be made aware of late shipments as soon as you think your shipment may lost.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

If you provide only a PO Box, we will ship by USPS.  We prefer street address shipping.  If you have a street address and a PO Box, PLEASE give us both PO Box and street address so we can choose the best shipping for your location.
